    Default Lake Whitehurst UPDATE

The new boat ramp into Lake Whitehurst will have a ribbon cutting on May 24 at 4 PM. The ramp is located on the corner of Shore Drive and Heutte Drive, just down the road from the previous ramp. All of the same regulations apply to Lake Whitehurst.

Parking space is limited, so plan accordingly.

I rode by yesterday, it looks nice, but only 12 or so trailer parking spots.

They say there is parking for 15. Looks like I'll have to have mine or my buddies wife drop us off and take the truck and trailer home and come back when we are finished.

I talked to Chad Boyce with DGIF and he has doubts that there are any walleye left in the lake. He last stocked the lake in 2008 and most walleye don't survive for 10 years. If you do catch one I'm sure he would be interested.

Apparently, this walleye was caught in November.

I've caught them as recently as 2014 myself.
