    Default NWR Mar 19th


    Went out to the river with my Pops today. Fish were in mostly 6' of water. Caught a ton of male perch on the shoreline. We took home 23 perch, 5 bluegills, and 6 crappie. Was really nice out there. I love to eat perch so the focus was that, biggest was 11" same with crappie. Caught every specie today except striper. Couldn't beat a minnow with anything else. That includes the hungry gills.

    Was a good way to wrap up time with family. About to leave until Thanksgiving here in a couple weeks. Hope this is my last long one.

    Aprreciate it. When I get back I'll be close to retirement myself. I'll likely find something to do work wise unless the value of crappie goes up . I look forward to seeing you out there.
