Default Did you know this about your fishing gear?

The company I work for does packaging for a company called Pure Fishing. They are a division of the Newell Company which was previously known as Rubbermaid-Newell.

Newel Brands is MASSIVE. The brands are: Coleman, Sharpie, Elmers, Uniball, Xacto, Crock-Pot, Yankee Candle, Sunbeam, Mr. Coffee, Jostens, Rawlings, and until 2016, Black & Decker tools.

    One more brand.......Pure Fishing.

Now, all these years you've gone into Walmart, Bass Pro, Cabelas, and looked at the different selections of rods, reels, lures, etc. Did you know that ALL OF THESE BRANDS that you thought were competitors are actually owned by the Pure Fishing brand?

That's something ain't it? I never knew this until I walked into one of our plants and saw what I thought were "competitors" products coming in on the same pallets lol

I think pure fishing owns Thill, as well., But I could be wrong.
Still different quality, pending the brand. Its obvious that a lot of reels are made in the same factory, or with the same tooling anyways, but the interior components are different, in most cases....
