Default Starting the new year out right who is with me?

Tomorrow is 2017 and I am starting it out by going crappie fishing in the morning. Who else is starting out this way. I'm headed out to bob's fishing hole on NWR.

Good luck on your trip. It's a good way to start the new year.

@crappiejunkie67 it was a horrible day I got skunked and it is my second time there that it happened. So I don't think I will ever venture back to that spot again. Let alone enter the tournaments. I am high discouraged at that place for fishing.

    Was the water still low?
I have never been skunked there so that is interesting.

Fished Buggs out of Longwood on Grassy Creek. Had another great day catching over 100 crappie with my clients keeping bout 3 dozen 10-12 inchers. Vertical jigging with a 5-10 second pause using BGBS on 3/32 oz jigs. Shades of chartreuse worked best for us. Brush in 20-30 fow that topped out 5-15 from the surface. Very nice day on the water with some fine fishermen!

The water was low I fished all around the bridges on 168 cross over and the tressel bridge with no luck. I was using jigs on with a white body and red head another with a pink body and red head and also a chartreuse with silver flake and chartreuse head all with 1/8th ounce weight. And even a Rockport rattle head with a shad colors bod. All under a float except for the rattle head.
