    This company at one time was the largest producer of Salmon lures in the U.S.

    Ok guys...some good guesses today , but gaspumper, partsman1, and Bals gib got it right.
    It was The Martin Fish Lure Company founded by Joseph Martin in 1927 in Seattle, Washington. The lures were simply called Martin Salmon Plugs. The hook system was unique in that when a fish was hooked the hooks would drop down away from the lure body, supposedly that was to help keep the fish from shaking the lure and unhooking itself. I will put up a pic showing that, that gaspumper posted.


    And below is a pic of the lure with the original box that is part of my collection.
