Ok....here is the answer
The man was Anton Lauby from Marshfield, Wisconsin. He started the Lauby Bait Company and ran it from 1932-1939. In 1939 he sold the company to Albert Bates. The name of the lure is the Lauby Wonder Spoon. It was made of wood. They had some of the prettiest air brushed finishes on them that could be found during this time. They came in different sizes from fly rod size up to Musky size.
