    Default Friday night fishing

870 and I hit the water on one of his honey holes last night after work. I've had a tense work week and some aquatic therapy was just what was needed to bleed off the stress. We launched about 5pm with the air temp at 75 and water temp was 78. We had some weeds to contend with as this is not a deep water pond but we had plenty of open water and pockets in the weeds to present our lures.
Here is some of our catch:

We had a busy night; bass, bluegill and crappie would be our catch last night. Lots of 'gills, probably 75% of our catch, bass about 20% and crappie the remaining 5% as we ended up with 6 nice ones on ice, smallest being just under 11" and the largest at just over 13". We ended up a nickel shy of the triple digit mark for total fish in the boat for the trip at 95. And for those that might be curious, 870 got the first crappie, the biggest crappie, and he put 4 of the 6 in the cooler; home field advantage, in my opinion!
I stuck with the Crappie Magnets for the most part: colors Percy, Gun metal and black/chartreuse landed a lot of fish for me tonight.
We called it a night about 7:45 and got the boat loaded before we needed the flashlights. Didn't take us long to get them processed for the dinner table and I was home about 9:30pm. Days sure are shorter now, fall is definitely coming on fast.
Yes, I was talking to myself; sometimes even I have to ask for expert advice.
