    Default Good trip today, 5-6

Found some time this afternoon to take a trip and see what might be biting. 68 degrees with bright sun and of course some good wind to push me around. Water temperature in the protected area of the lake where I launched at 3:30 was 59 but out over the basin and on the main lake it was 56.
Average bluegills would be the main catch today but I did get some bigger ones out of the deeper water. 2 quick ones right off the bat and then here and there for the next hour or so. I explored an area of the shore that I don't normally fish near due to the wind pattern today and found quite a few 'gills up in the shallows. But I also found the pickerel and the bass; the small ones. No crappie in that area that might have been around there had any interest in what I was tossing.
Back out in the wind and the deep water looking for some schools I went. Picked up another 5-6 bigger 'gills and 1 nice perch but got blanked for any crappie. But fun was had and seeing the sun again made it a great trip.
Totals for the trip would be about 20 or so bluegills, about 6 small bass of about 7-8", couple of pickerel of about 10", and the one perch. I called it a day about 6:15.
Yes, I was talking to myself; sometimes even I have to ask for expert advice.

Good to get out and catch something! FYI, exactly the same weather conditions and water temperatures here on the local pond.

Good outing. Keep up the good times.
