Default Slow night on the pond, 7-14

Packed up the gear and headed out after work. Air temperature at a humid 84, water temp at 81! Launched about 5:15 and called it a night just short of 8. Wind was down and I figured I'd be in for a decent evening of catching. Nope!

Total for the night would be 5 crappie from 8-12" and 4 bluegill and a rock bass, that's it. Here's a couple of pics of the lucky contestants.

Small fish of the night did his best to avoid coming to the boat; there's a 6" bluegill in here somewhere

Other than the weedy 'gill, those I got were very nice, just about 8" and hard fighting. It was good to get out again regardless of the score. The rock bass put up a fight that had me thinking bigger fish.

Hoping the next trip is not too far off in the future.
Yes, I was talking to myself; sometimes even I have to ask for expert advice.
