Default Different water, different results, 5-12

Another nice day here in CT and I decided to take another trip once I finished up my work for the day.
I pushed off the beach about 4:50, in to a pretty strong breeze from the NE once again. It hadn't been too bad for most of the day but I did notice it gaining strength as the afternoon wore on. Made it tough to visit and stay in the areas I wanted to cast to so I ended up trolling for most of the trip. A couple of quick, average size bluegill were the first fish in the boat but I couldn't snap a picture of either. Then got into a couple of average perch.

Bluegill and perch would be the main catch of the evening. Only hooked one crappie, a nice one at that, but lost it at the side of the boat as I juggled the net and the rod while trying to scoop him up. Just a short time later this nice 'gill took the RoadRunner.

I moved in close to shore in a bit of a cove trying to get out of the wind for a while. All I found there were small 'gills and perch, and a small pickerel. I gave that up before too long and headed back to the landing and picked up this perch and a small bass.

They would be the last of the night as I'd had enough of the wind and called it a night about 7:20.

Totals would be a shy dozen 'gills, 7-8 perch and 1 each bass and pickerel.

Good job, I've never caught a perch but would love to.

The perch seem to thump it pretty good but don't really put up too much of a fight. Bluegill fight much harder.
