    Default 10/2 with the owls.

I was planning to head out a little earlier this afternoon with plans of picking up minnows and trying a little trolling in the light. Unfortunately I fell asleep and by the time I got going the bait shop was closed and the sun was setting. I tried one spot in 28’ of water and after an hour or so only managed a few bluegills so I picked up the anchors and moved. My second spot panned out, one rainbow and a limit of crappie. I was vertical jigging, I started with 1/32oz jigs with 1” gulp minnows but then switched to a 1/16th oz jig with a 21/2” gulp minnow. The second spot was deeper, like 35’, the fish were caught 10’ to 20’ down. I was off the water by 11:00. Forgot my spotlight so I made my way back with just a headlamp. You have got that technique working great! That rainbow looks a little lonely there among the crappie.

You have GOT to change your handle; every time I see it, Manfred Mann starts singing in my head, LOL!
Yes, I was talking to myself; sometimes even I have to ask for expert advice.
