Default Another quick trip after work, 10-22

It was a simply spectacular day here in in CT, felt like mid June; 75 degrees, bluebird skies and very little wind. I had to top it off with a quick trip to see what might be biting. Launched about 4:45 and pulled off at 6:30. No wind to speak of so I was able to hover over some fish as I found them to try some jigging. Jigged up the first one about 10 minutes in to the trip; turned out to be the big one of the night at about 11" or so. Got him on the gray stinger.

Trolled around a bit looking for more schools and got this one on the gray minnow tube while on the move.

Over the next hour, I landed a total of maybe 7-8 fish, all crappie, mainly in the 8-9" range. Pretty evenly split between hovering over them and jigging and trolling along slowly.

With the time change just over a week away there won't be many more after work trips for me. I'll have to plan my trips for the weekends while the weather still holds. Gonna have to work around the fall chores to sneak in a couple more trips.
