Default Found them again today, 9-27

Plans got changed today so I was able to get in another trip, this time with a cooler full of ice to bring a few home. Conditions were a carbon copy of yesterday, wind and all. Lots of boats on the water today, 2 were in the area I was in yesterday so I pushed on by them to a different area. Took a while to get the first fish in the boat today.

The bite was pretty good again today once I got started but the size wasn't as good as yesterday. I did manage a few bigger ones, but the bluegill overall were just average and a bit on the small side for keeping so a whole lot of them got tossed back for another day. Crappie bite was better today!

Biggest was about 11", smallest keeper was about 9". Tossed back 4-5 smaller ones as well. The big yellow's were here, too.

I put in about 12:15 and called it a day about 3:45. That gray stinger that the perch has in the picture above was a 'gill catching machine today; I'll bet 60% of all the gills I caught came on that color stinger. Went through a bunch of them today. Actually, I lost a bunch of stinger tails to short striking fish both yesterday and today. Oh, well, I bought them to fish with, right?

Totals for the freezer today was 5 keeper crappie, 3 big perch and 11 average size and a tad larger bluegill. Didn't lose any crappie at the net today so that's an improvement!

Nice catch. That sounds like a pretty good day. Plenty of good eating there also.
