Great to see you getting out again. Keep up the good fishing. Tight lines.
I've not had a chance to get out for a while due to the storm but got out to the pond last night to see what I could find. Arrived to find very calm conditions and launched about 4:50. Water temp was 79 to start. I set up the HB and while getting things rigged up I noticed a few marks under me so dropped down a stinger and immediately hooked the first of the night, an average bluegill. I thought, "it's going to be a good night".
I jinxed it for sure....
Over the next 3 hours, I landed a grand total of 2 more 'gills and 5 crappie, as well as losing 2 very nice ones next to the boat. Most of these fish came in the last 1/2 hour before I pulled off at 7:45.
Big fish in to the boat was about 12". All came on stingers although I tried a variety of soft plastics trying to find something they might be interested in.
It was good to get out even if the action was slower than expected. Hopefully, my next trip won't be too far in the future. With the heat we've been having here, fishing seems to be the recreation of choice and I've missed getting out there after work on the more bearable weather days.
Yes, I was talking to myself; sometimes even I have to ask for expert advice.
Great to see you getting out again. Keep up the good fishing. Tight lines.

Nice job. May have been a little slow but it beats a skunk.
