Great to see you are getting out. Wish we could join you up there. Tight lines to you and the wife. Have a great day.
Yesterday the wife and I took the boat out for a little while in the afternoon. It was a beautiful day around 60 degrees and a calm breeze. Which is saying a lot because lately the weather has been brutal. Cool and winds blowing a gale every day.
Since my first trip I went out with my daughter on Easter and we got skunked but the water temp had dropped 5 degrees between the two trips in only a couple of days. I wasn't that surprised. I gave it a couple weeks to warm up and it came up about 10 degrees yesterday to 54 to 55.
The fishing still was pretty slow though. I had hoped for better. My buddy had been out the day before on a different pond and did alright. Bee had been out also and got into some good ones. Still though it was an improvement over my first two trips.
We caught 3 Crappie around 10 to 11 inches and brought those home. Caught one 13 inch girl full of eggs and we snapped a pic of me holding her and released her. One of the Crappie was my wifes but I had to hold that one so she could get a picture.
Bobby Garland Bayou Booger Baby Shad was the bait of choice on a 1/32 oz jig head. The big girl was caught on a Blue Ice.
I also caught a Brook Trout about 14 and a half inches that I brought home for the smoker.
Great afternoon. We both had a lot of fun and it was really nice to get out. We all are going a little stir crazy I know. Fishing is great therapy right now. As the weather permits hopefully I will be getting out again soon.

Glad you were able to take advantage of the nice day. I think all of us here in NE are READY for some warm spring weather; until then we'll just have to slip in a trip whenever we get the opportunity.
Yes, I was talking to myself; sometimes even I have to ask for expert advice.
Very nice! Wish we could get out and wet a line. MA is still locked down tight. Most public boat ramps and closed until further notice. I'm crawling up the walls! Thanks for posting. We really need it.
