    Default Unfortunately it's time

Yesterday I unloaded all my fishing equipment from my boat and put it away for the season. Winter is fast approaching here. Had a good open water season, now I am waiting for ice I guess. Good luck to the rest of you that are still making it out on the open water.

Down here I don’t think we appreciate that with a few good clothes we can fish year round just about any day of the year. Looks like from what I have seen this may be a good year for ice up your way. They keep predicting it’s going to be bad cold up your way.

Well we are already ahead of last year. It's not as cold yet as it was last year. I was ice fishing by last Thanksgiving. I am not seeing that happen this year but it is still early. Congratulations to you Cray on being man of the year. A great honor among a lot of great people.

I have to admit that I'm hoping to get one more trip in but it probably won't happen. I have begun to focus more on getting ready to ice fish rather than really making the effort for another open water trip. Got some new gear over the summer and there is NO WAY that it is going to fit in the sled I have. Got my thinking cap on for a way to get around the blivet situation.

I'm still hoping for one more trip at least. Got most of the boat put away, but holding out on putting her up on blocks just yet. Back a few years, we were fishing on Jan. 2nd.! You just never know up here in New England. We can always hope! LOL!
