    Default New Experience

So I never have fished out of a real bass boat before but my fishing partner's cousin has a nice Ranger just under 19 feet long that needed to get out fishing. So the three of us headed out Sunday morning in it. Awesome experience to fish out of it. Plenty of room for three guys to fish.

The fishing however was pretty slow. We made the trip into a small place first that was dead. We only caught 5 Crappie in there with only three to keep. One male was 15 inches which tied my personal best. Another male went 16 inches. Which the boat owner caught. Both awesome fish which we kept and in hindsight really wished we had released. Didn't measure them at the time just threw them in the pail but males of that size are really rare around here. Should have kept those genetics in there a little longer. Oh well live and learn I guess.

Since the fishing was slow there we went somewhere else that should have been on fire. The fishing was slow there also. We had to work for it but managed a good amount of fish to bring home in the end. I had the best luck of the day and caught all but 4 of the fish in the picture. I tried to give the bait that was working the best to the others but they were too proud to take it. Bobby Garland Mo Glo Twilight was working the best once again. Water temp was 60 degrees both places so I am thinking the next couple weeks should be really good fishing. Here's a couple pics. The one that is sixteen inches really doesn't look it in the picture but it definitely was. Bad camera work I guess.

Excellent! You did pretty darn good for a "slow" fishing day.

Outstanding catch for up here. Some great size to the ones you are catching. Tight lines to you.
