Headed down to my new favorite pond in southeast MA today to catch a few more. I wasn’t catching quite as many as last week but the size was very good and I got more of a mixed bag. Water temp got up to 51 today. I ended up catching probably 20 crappies, 5 yellow perch, and a pickerel. I kept 5 crappies and 2 perch for the fryer. One of the crappies had survived an attack of some sort a while back.

Yeah that was a pretty bad injury. It was very lucky to live through that. It definitely deserved the catch and release.
