I fished the new Lake Bois D Arc for the first time and enjoyed myself. The amount of timber on that lake is insane and much of it is so thick that a man could not even walk thru it. I can see why they have big hope for the lake because many of those fish will never ever see a lure because you simply can't get to them. I fished the bridge and caught 13 black crappie who were 12" carbon copies of each other. I also caught 2 bass and 2 crappie throw backs. I accidently left my battery pack for my electronics at home so I had to fish old school. I think it is going to be a great crappie lake.

I’m in Magnolia, TX and fish both Conroe and Somerville lakes. The bite has been slow for me, but the fish I’ve caught have been good ones. Haven’t fished since the freeze, but I’m going out this weekend for sure! Good luck to all!
