Default Possibly moving from TN to Corpus Christi. Is Lake Corpus Christi good for crappie?

I live about 35 miles southeast of Nashville. I have a job offer in Corpus Christi, so naturally, the first thing I looked for is lakes. This one is close so I was wondering how the fishing is at that lake.

Also, what is a good town to live in? Property taxes seem to be substantially higher than TN. It may not be worth the move on that alone. We don't have a state income tax either.

we dont have a state income tax in Texas , property taxes are growing daily due to the massive influx of people from all across the country moving here and driving up the real estate prices as they try to purchase property .
not sure currently but most places tripled in value in the last 4 or 5 years ! both of my properties are worth triple what I bought them for as I type , it seems to be slowing up a bit right now , but it is still pretty ridiculous .
as far as down that way to ketch fish , most folks close to gulf hit that salt water , pretty good salt action is close at hand in those parts, luck to ya on your travels
there are crappie fisher folks down that way I think though , maybe some will chime in and until then google tpw lake info. on that one , they have current info on all the texas lakes on their website , ketch rates and where and when and water temps and etc etc
sum kawl me tha outlaw ketchn whales
