You might mention your preferred style of fishing and boat size. ( if you’re bringing a boat )

So, if the wife and I were thinking of getting out of MN for a week. Probably around mid to third week in February.
Thinking of Texas or maybe Arkansas (wife has friend near Fayetteville) and would like to crappie fish a couple times.
Can you guys shoot me a recommendation for a couple lakes and a guide or two. Much appreciated.

hire Jerry Hancock if you can on lake fork , he is really all that , not kidding
or Chris Webb on cedar creek , really nice guy , good at it too ...
mark standridge on palestine is good as well ...
several others are good guides here in Texas , not sure where you are going or want to go ...
lake of the pines might be the spot to hit if you are near there
not sure who to use on lop though

Texas is a huge state so you will need to be more specific for advice in the state. If it were me I would be targeting either the world famous Lake Fork or Lake of the Pines. You will likely catch a few over 2lbs. I agree with Ketchum that Jerry Hancock would be a great choice on Fork if you can get him. There are alot of other quality guides on Fork and Pines. I know very little about Arkansas so hopefully someone else will chime in on it.
You could always go to Millwood in SW Arkansas. If there’s a few warm days the alligators will be out sunning. I went last March and saw about 50….

Lots of good choices in AR too. Greeson, Millwood, Beaver, DeGray and bunch of others.
Thank you for the replies. Will be in NW Arkansas for a couple days and then will fish with Larry Burchfield on Eufaula in OK. Will just be happy to fish on soft water.
patience is NOT my strong suit my friend
