Default Had to fight for em

We managed to scrape a handful in this evening. Fishing has been a little tougher at Pat Mayse last couple of weeks but we found them today hugging the bottom at about 20 feet.

most of the spots in this area the fish are as light a bite as you will see and often sitting down in something near the bottom too .
minus a thermocline I bet some are in water deeper than 25 ,have not hit a deep water trip this summer just yet ,but I bet the brook fish are likely really deep right now minus a thermocline .

You are right about that, most of the time we didn’t even feel a bit. Just watched the lines go slack or feel just the slightest bump. Next time I go out I’m going to check deep water.

If I were you I'd start right where I stopped my last trip and only if the fish were not there I'd go searching.......

The ten I caught 2 days ago were not too deep yet. 25’ of water and brush 10’ tall. Only one thumped, all the others I saw on LiveScope or my line moving sideways or coming up. Miss the thump!
