west of dfw was good in 8 to 10 foot of water yesterday , water temp 70 and pretty good clarity .

Not for me. Yesterday was slow at the slips. Only caught 15, 10 shorts, 4 barely legal, 1 14"

I follow SK's philosophy. If it's not at least 11" it's not a keeper. Not enough meat left on anything smaller when you fillet them.

Besides it was not the size of the crappie that made it slow, it was the low number caught. :o

We have 8' of water on the boat ramp. I guess I can fish there and leave the boat at home.
