Not many fishing the smaller structure, including me. The big brush piles with all the thrumps are hard to pass up. But I am going to make any effort to spend at least 1/2 my time fishing the smaller structure, hard as it will be to do so.
I have more problems with the idiots on jet skis, wake boards, speed boats and bass fishermen than I have with other crappie fishermen fishing the areas I fish. It's easy to find another spot near by to fish if somebody is on the brush pile I was going to fish but it's hard to get away from the wake created by all the idiots running too close to anchored or spot lock fishermen.
your lake is a not fun to try to ketch a fish in lake in the summer months for sure Ez
the traffic is about ridiculous out there at times
they should have put up traffic signal lights instead of buying a big expensive boat !:Rofl
:deadhorse It's not the traffic that is the problem. It is lack of boating manners and stupidity of those in the boats. It would be nice if everybody was required to get an intellignce test before being allowed to buy a jet ski or boat. :deadhorse:Rofl
There once was a West Texas Crappie Anglers. They fished Proctor, Leon, Stamford, OH Ivie, and Fort Phantom that I know of. Have not heard much about it, was going to fish it when I lived in Munday but coaching did not allow me to do so. May check it out and see if they are still around.
