    find you a crappie dock ....money says one around there is stupid good early and late in the day .
    pay the 5 bucks and watch them local fellas close ,they know lots of tricks

    That's exactly what i was doing. The docks themselves weren't holding any but I did find a hole that had some. I'm going to try again tonight.

    Seems live bait is needed, plastics weren't getting anything for anybody that I could see including myself.

    the parking fee at that park is $20....that's an ouch!!!!!!!!

    I am envious of that lake you hiked to the other day!!1 Those are great days when you can find the secluded spot like that. I think I have only seen the scenario you ran into where the pretty girl then walks up on certain website though ~ A blessed man you are!

    that was a state park and there are several in your neck a the woods down that way .
    most of them have GREAT "fishing" docks ....investigate one close to you ...
    look for one over deep water ....you will have to reserve a day pass online to get in
    and drop that jig to the bottom ,raise it 6 inches and DO NOT move it
    state parks here are the bomb for a bank angler
