    Default Personal best

Did not catch many but one I did catch took my breath away. Although not the lake record it was my personal best at 15 1/2 inches and 1.75 pounds. Tried to take a picture but she flopped just as I snapped (smile). 24 feet of water in a large laydown and I was fishing an 1/8th oz white jig tipped with a minnow. Just prior I caught an 8 pound channel cat (that I gave away to some fishermen that wanted her) but was unable to catch any more fish off this pile.

they love getting some air right now .....
    15.5 is a brute my friend ....
on benbrook that fish would weigh in close to 2.5
on lake worth it would likely run about the weight of your fish .
funny how some lakes just have heavier fish in them
on proctor a fish that size would not only weigh big
it would likely about pull the rod out of your hands
and rip drag like a big bass
none the less its always very cool to ketch one that size for sure
    KABOOM is the word bro

It did almost pull the rod from my hand. I started cussin figuring I had another cat but she came up reasonably fast. That is when my heart started hopping as I scrambled to get the net. Fish like that are my greatest motivator to get back on the water when the catching is lean.
