Default Moving to Texas with a boat and motor

So next year (with luck), we will be moving to Aransas Pass and I'm planning on bringing my 19 foot Tracker PT190TX with me. It has a 90 hp motor on it (as well as a 8 hp kicker). I was told transferring registration of the boat is a convoluted process (and probably expensive). I bought the boat and motor together new from Bass Pro Shops in 2007 and there is no price listed on the paperwork for the cost of the motor. Can someone offer some help as to what I'm going to need to do and what I can expect to pay?
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not sure.

bring your title for the boat and motor to the TPW center near you and it will be fairly painless and not terribly pricey at 40 or 50 or so to get them registered
when they register them ,they give them a forever tx number and the registration i think is 2 years ?
the trailer has to be done thru the DPS and it is typically done at your local tax office .
trailer registration is kinda high per year ,70 or so
never go on the water without your registration or you will likely get ticketed .
they enforce ALL the boating laws strictly here and will give you tickets if you aint a legal eagle .
their is a pretty fair list of on the water stuff you have have .
and kids under i think 13 must wear a life jacket at all times .
must wear your kill switch cord is the new thing btw
fire extinguisher , throw cushions, bell whistle or horn ,nav lights and the list goes on .
    welcome to Texas

on a side note , there are few other tricky things like boat ramp passes and such at some spots .
the locals will tell you who what and where i imagine .
and different lakes sometimes have different regulations on limits and sizes .
    and welcome to Texas

and IF you want to do the salt water it in fact gets way more complicated and the ocean will eat your boat and tackle quickly .
never kill an alligator out of season without all the permits and such either ...just saying
this is a whole new world compared to up north and the influx of people from all over the us is large
and on a final note .....careful out in the sun here
it will crispy you really bad really quickly on them cloudless 100 plus days
    welcome to Texas

last but not least we have lots of wildlife on the roads in the dark , deer in some spots are terrible , not large but large numbers , hogs to and yes some are large .
and when it comes to getting stung , bitten or poked by thorns we got you covered
one little sand spur in a bare foot will bring ya down i tell ya .
and thats the ones we laugh about
my personal favorites are the scorpions , but the red wasps here are the real bad boys
and the jumping cactus are just about lovely to encounter as well .

It really is not a big deal and once registered for boat, motor, and trailer, renewal is online and painless. You are moving to a Mecca of great bay fishing. Recommend a guide at first only to become aware of skinny water. Your boat is not exactly set up for skinny water so you will follow the inter coastal and other deeper routes. You will have a blast! Welcome to Texas!
