I tell ya here I am going to have to do something different. The lake being down for so long to fix the spillway that all out Hydrilla and any grass is just gone. Places that still have a lot of standing timber a couple years ago now have none. I went the other day to look around and it was pitiful. I guess they are all right on the bank in the buck brush or deeper already. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't have some spawn in January. We have had so much wind and rain that I just have not got off my rear end to go. Not to mention I am dealing with a pulled Groin!

Old country boy view is when Mesquite trees bloom there will no more freezes. Normally this would signal spring. Lakes still shut down but here is one my brother caught just before the shutdown.

Most all my spots are flooded this year again. They started heating up and now the fish are pretty hard to find. Im
hoping the rain tomorrow ain’t much and a spot down south gets going again after the release they’ve been letting out gets the creek water down. Probably not though
