I went to chunk some concrete and brush from the bank a tad south of y’all. Didn’t quite get it as far out as I wanted it cause the sucker was on the heavy side, but it’ll do without superpowers. If it doesn’t get washed away as usual over the last few years. There was some smalls in the area a little deeper, but nobody home on the banks yet in the dark.
They haven't been on the rocks off my slips the last two nights. and instead the slips were slow and small. I fished to 9:30 both nights and did not catch a crappie. Caught a small bass or two but no crappie. tried hand ties, soft plastic and minnows. Appears they are staying in the front docks for some reason instead of coming back to the rocks.

Any day I'm fishing is a good day, regardless of what I catch.
Hey EZ. The last 2 nights they haven’t really started moving to the banks until late for reasons I don’t know. A little after 10:00 pm on Sat and almost 11:00 pm last night
I will have to give that a shot soon to see if they are coming in to my little area.

I have not gone night fishing in the last couple years, but that is my favorite fishing. Was night fishing for bass way back in the later 1960's and we did that for 10 years every weekend except hunting season, lol!
Of course crappie is the only thing I have been fishing at night for at least the last 20 years and a lot before that, but then bass would have also been in the mix. Then in-between the bass and crappie were the speckled trout when I lived in Ingleside Texas. Now that was some great water!
Anyway here is a shot of some baitfish around one of my green lights.
