    Default Not Today!

I was at the slips today but the crappie were AWOL. I arrived at 9:30, fished for an hour without a bite. Decided to work on slip and boat since the crappie were missing in action. Had a rod with a minnow suspended in the slip current hot spot, was not bothered the whole time it was there. Did get my trolling motor back in action and worked on the new live scope bought I bought so it is set up on the trolling motor but not on the trolling motor shaft. Also got another tarp hung with Jeffery's help.

Started jigging again at 3:00, jigged until 4:30 when I decided to call it a day. Caught one 9" crappie on the jig, turned the minnow loose since nothing had bothered it all day.

In case you think it was just me getting there too late another friend started fishing my slips and my dock at 7:00 A.M. this morning and fished until 4:00 P.M. this afternoon when he called it quits. He caught 3 crappie during this entire period, none of them keepers. Another friend fished from 11:30-3:00 and only caught 1 small black bass.

You could see the crappie suspended around the cane piles, they just would not bite.

It wasn't the weather as it was a fairly warm day, although it was too windy to take the boat out on the lake.

I'm going to be back out there in the morning, a little earlier, so hopefully the crappie will be hungry since they did not accept anything from us today.

new live scope mount. didn't see the mistake in time to correct it. I need to learn how to use what I have before I buy more. But I have been wondering how a 360 would fit in with whtat I have.

Today wasn't the day either. caught 1/2 dozen dinks and 1 over 12" at the slips, nothing out on the lake. Jeffery also caught 1 over 12" at the slips, nothing else at the slips nor on the lake. But we did get a tarp dropped in front of the big boat to help darken that area. And I moved the green light again, further back in the slip. Still trying to find the best spot for it.

same old story, saw loads of fish on HB and livescope on the lake but could not buy a bite. saw them swimming in the slips using livescope but few would bite.
