Went to the dam this morning to search for suspended crappie in the deeper water. Marked some nice looking brush and schools on side view, then went back to fish them on live scope. The wind and waves started, making it too hard to fish. Went to the sheltered side but was still too windy to fish. So I spent the morning marking new spots that had crappie type formations on them.

Found some nice ones around the bridge with large concentrations of fish on them. These are away from the pillars so are probably not that heavily fished. I am going to try them in the morning, if the wind cooperates.

I haven’t fished much but I hit 2 creeks today. Both were low on water and void of crappie. How low is JP looking? I thought about going and walking the Mountain but if the waters low I may not bother with such a hike until it gets colder.

I must have angered the crappie gods. A full day of fishing provide me 2 little crappie and 5 just as small white bass. Saw loads of them on the live scope but they ignored everything I showed them.

EZ in my neck of the woods there crappie bite is so light that if I'm not paying close attention I'll miss several bites..... Just a heads up to keep that line tight and maybe put a finger on that line.....
