and you had to hold it still as a statue and wait for it .
then they would hit it so hard you would about lose your rod .
I mean just like a December deep fish bite , just smack the fire out it like someone took a hammer to your rod tip .
Both species present and accounted for as well .
no small fish in the mix either and its a small fish lake most of the time
shad all over the surface all around me struggling
gots to love it , nothing beats a hammer bite from a crappie on a jig in the winter

They are just getting ready for winter and trying to fill up as much as possible! Good time for fishing, just my boat is hanging over mud right now as the lake is down for repairs to the spillway. I need probably 4 -5 feet more water in this lake before I can get my boat out or go fishing, lol!

So just means the eating time is on!

Maybe I consider a few 1/16 Oz real Roadrunners for spring? You know the 1/8 Oz one I made for you were also real Roadrunners? I took real Roadrunner heads and sent them off to be Gold plated, lol!
I do still hear some as I don't use them much and have not really sold any. Truth is I got some of them to paint with Candy colors since they look different over Gold than over Silver, lol! I stopped painting them though.

not sure why it varies so much each year
but to be sure it was full blown winter mode ketchn yesterday
Friday and Saturday were 56 degrees on Joe Pool, but today the water temperature was 60.9 degrees. Don't know why it warmed back up,
