    Default Inoculation

I am getting a tetanus shot cause our crappie have lockjaw and I don’t want to catch it. 4 hours, 15 brushpiles, varying depths, trying minnows on bare hook, minnows on jigs, and jigs alone changing colors and sizes. They have to be close to being hungry. Water temp dropped 4 degrees to 78. Reckon they are full from eating at night under the full moon?

Mine had it here in central Florida, but I went Tuesday night and kept 6 slabs. I think most of them have it, but maybe they are getting over it...lol

Okay, I have been cleared by my Dr. who says my tetanus shot is current, so I am going to see if I can find some crappie that don't have lock jaw and hopefully these cooler nights will have the mayflies in check. Hopefully will be able to post some pics tomorrow.

Persistence paid off last night. Got lucky and fished through a 180 degree wind shift and ended up with a nice mixed bag of fish. Kept 6 crappie, 3 bass and 2 very nice bluegill. I think the longer, cooler nights are getting the fish going. Name: 20190925_042544.jpg

it is my opinion like SK that all to often crappie bite and anglers don't know it . this time of year its often so subtle it defies the imagination and they can spit it faster than you can set the hook as well .
but there are times I see a herd that wont budge and they drive crazy when they do that ….and it is a short drive I promise
