With LiveScope I can see when the crappie breathes so I know when, and if, he is going to bite. The ones killing me are the latter group Ketchn described.

I usually fish with about 10 crappie poles with minnows and bobbers but this time of year I use 5 or less because of the bite being so subtle and soft. About 60 % of the catches barely move the bobbers.

I'm seeing some of you LS guys sayn the bite is off or very slow, it might be a better decision to watch your rod and line instead of that expensive pieces of equipment y'all got all this faith in...... Can see the fish breathe....LOL
    JMHO.....
Am I a LS hater? Nope, I just KNOW it ain't needed......

I get a kick out of assumptions. I use LS to verify the presence of fish then how they react to my lure often causing a change in my jig size or colors then to alert me that a fish is approaching my bait. At that point I go back to watching my B&M Sam Heaton Super Sensitive 9 foot for the tell tale thump, sway, light weight, heavy weight, line moving rod just as I did before LS. And, no, it is not needed to catch crappie evidenced by Ketchn who catches far more than me without a boat, sonar, or LiveScope. It is just another tool to increase my success. Thanks for chiming in, though. I watch all your videos and have learned a lot from you.

I am going to start saving my extra money to be able to bring you to Austin and take you fishing so I can figure out the next steps. I seem to have hit a plateau in my crappie chasing. I have an extra bedroom, a boat similar to yours, and a hosting attitude. I will save enough to pay for your trip and back, pay for the guided trip, and feed you until you cannot eat anymore. Oh, and make sure you get plenty of the beverage of your choice, as well.
