    Default Big bait

Had a good day yesterday on Palestine. Found a strong daylight bite before the winds got up on brush. Afternoon was quite breezy but but hid from wind and filled the cooler with some solid east texas slabs on submerged timber and brush. Had one 15" toad that looked like it was full of eggs. Found an almost 6" shad stuffed in its belly at the cleaning station. Fish caught from 14-22'Name: IMG_6811.jpg

Would love to know where you caught those. I went and caught one by accident, hooked him in the fin. Had a few nibbles in the early morning area, then they stopped. Hit some brush piles but by 10 found nothing. Could see them down there on Livescope, but they would look and swim away. If interested in sharing you can PM me! I will keep it a secret!

they can sure enough eat a big bait no doubt . seen one big ole slab with a yellow bass in its stomach one time here in dfw .
nice haul , I seen another guy rack up some toads there last week , I think he mentioned deep timber and of course that's where I would look this time of year there myself . I been on the lake a few times .
sure is a great fishery no doubt ,wish it wasn't so far away from me .
congrats and thanks for the report

great day and WTG in adjusting to conditions. Nice that you could get out of blasted wind and still Ketchm.
