    Default Pro Crappie Trail

Has anyone heard of this? I saw it on another forum and very interested in it. Seems they do crappie tournies like bass tourneys. Just curious if anyone has heard of it or participated. They put a Marshal in each boat. Artificial bait only. Pays bigest fish and biggest weight. Pretty cool. I am really wanting to start doing some of these. I did not post it in the tournament section as it is not a tournament, but rather looking for information on participation and knowledge of it. Not even sure if it is just Texas or not.

Wouldn't surprise me, although slow crappie tourneys are getting bigger and will soon be as big as the bass tourneys....

I have not been a part of either of them, nor a bass tourney, but that is going to change. Heck I have a boat that cost more than my house (not really) so I need to use it. Told my wife today that I am going to be a pro fisherman. Was joking but she said "Whatever makes you happy baby!" Humm might have to try it. LOL. She told me that I need to get a boat to replace my old one, I think she meant a used boat and I came home with a Skeeter ZX200 2019. haha She will probably learn soon to be careful of what she says, but until then..... :-)

The Pro Crappie Trail is a brand new crappie tournament trail. The Lake Fork tournament was the inaugural tournament. In fact, they only allowed 15 teams into it so as to iron out any wrinkles. I have a friend that fished in it. He loved it. He said that fishing in 3 different zones with 3 different 2 hour and 15 minute time periods kept the excitement and stress up for him. I'll try to get more information for you.

Got some info last night from Lake Life. $225 For entry, plus $25.00 manditory to have a Marshall ride with you and something else. Then add hotel in and food. Sounds like an expensive weekend. Will try it but not sure if I will do it in Sept on this next one or not.

Tell me about it. I am thinking right now my CPF (Cost Per Fish) is around the $5.000 mark. LOL
