Default Fishin with LakeLife and crappie jigs

So this morning we went fishing and did well, only we lost several GOOOOOD ONES. Started looking at the jig as it seems to come out of their mouth with the slightest tension. Got me to thinking about how I do not loose that many with a crappie hook when using a minnow. I got home and did a little youtube video on how to tie a crappie jig and the hook the guy was using caught my attention. this is a cross between a jig and a crappie hook which may keep them on a little better. So if you are looking to tie your own, this seems to be a good website to get the better hooks. I have not ordered from them so have no idea what customer service is like but the hooks are something I want to try. To tie a jig according to the video is not hard at all. Thought some of you might be interested in this.

Thanks. I hadn't seen their heads before. Its hard to beat Crazy Angler's prices with more weight options and #6 hooks though.

I don't like using bronze nor red sickles.... They don't hold form for me....
I know it's the way I set the hook + braid....

CA has fast shipping.....I get a few things from them.....

Post some websites of these places. With a normal walmart jig I find that I lose so many fish. I lost 12 last weekend that were slabs. I am going to make my own but need a good crappie type hook not that little small thing.

I do set the hook but not real hard because normally I am trolling. These hooks on the jigs I use are like perch hooks. Definately moving to the Sickle hooks.

    crazyanglertackle.com

Or on Facebook lookup Limits Tackle, MCM Tackle, Constant Pursuit Outfitters, or MAD Crappie Jigs. Maybe someone will chime in with others but between those I think you’ll be good.

I know I set the hook harder with sickle hooks. It almost always ends up in the roof of the mouth aside from the occasional gut hook

Awesome. Thank you. Going to order some today. I have a week without my boat so if I can get some jigs made and try them out next weekend that would be wonderful. All I know is that they cannot be worse than the ones I use now.
