Default Lots of wind this morning Granbury

Lots of spesky wind this morning, lots of fish jumping but not allot of action.
Did catch one small black, so better then falling off the boat I guess. Storms hitting this afternoon so probably no fishing this evening.
Here's to a better rest of the week on the water!Name: IMG_20190529_090723.jpg

Yeah that wind is a bugger. glad you caught something, but just remember, a bad day on the lake is better than a good day in the office!!! haha

That wind has been tough for sure. Good luck to you! I had an unbelievable stretch of bad boat luck on consecutive visits to Granbury back in the day. Never been back since lol.

Yep fishing way better then working, that's why I retired last year and moved down to the lake. Have always wanted to be on the water, house is 23yrs old as is the Ranger.... And I wouldn't trade it all for anything!!

Girlfriend and I are about to head out again in just a few and see if we can find some. We have two lights on the bottom about 12' down and they are about 20' in dia with some Christmas trees around them so hopefully we get them loaded up as the season goes along.
Yes I have heard Granbury can be tough in some areas but the last few years it's been a pretty good lake. The lake authority has put in some crappie structure around the lake and I hear they produce some good slabs. Our lights work pretty good as well and it's right off the slip so makes it very convenient.
I do agree time on the water is always better then working for sure!!

Windy for sure, has been like that here for a good while now and I finally can get to my boat without getting my feet wet, but I just am not going to fight that wind. I am just too old to enjoy that!

We fished in nice calm waters for a couple hours after dinner, the temp was perfect as were the adult beverages! We had fun but the crappie weren't biting much, caught a few bass and the GF caught a big drum on a jug, so all was not lost.
Won't is light now so after this cup of coffee the boat is going out of the slip for a few hours... Love this cool weather we are having this late in May.
Will try a few minnows this AM see what happens!
