    Default Livescope

Noticed a post today, sorry I forgot who posted it, about livescope. Who has one? Been doing a little research today and they are pricy but are they worth it? YouTube has some great videos but I am not sold. Looks like they are in the $1500.00 range. Can’t tell if that is everything or as one video said that was just the transducer and you still have to buy the graph. Quite honestly if I were to get one I would want two graphs as I am going to be looking for them first before putting out trolling motor. Tell me your thoughts.

Chris, I have livescope on my boat. I'll meet you out at Palestine sometime soon and let you see it for yourself. It's a total game changer.

Oh please. I am gone this weekend. Have to be a judge for the world steak cook off. Really sucks to have to take a bite of 80 ribeyes. But next week I am good. Just let me know. Would LOVE to see it. Will show you my honey hole. ?

I made my Livescope portable. If you rig it up to your boat you can safely install the transducer that comes with the Unit. I have the 74 SV and it is plenty big enough for me in my kayak. If I had a boat I would get the 9" screen. I rigged my SI transducer to the kayak permanently but attach the Livescope transducer to the side and am able to rotate freely to see 360 around me.
The unit I bought was from GPS store and the 74SV was $899 and the Livescope was $1499. You can buy the HD transducer which is another $500 but my images are crystal clear so I didn't buy it. I copied this guys video on kayak install. For boat there are many Youtube videos on how to make it portable to use on other boats or a dock.

You know with Livescope I cannot see why MANY guides or NEW guides would buy this setup and put people on fish ALL THE TIME!
Here is a guide that tells his clients when they have a bite! He has many videos so look at his channel. If I had the time and money I would make a setup on a pontoon like him and start guiding on lakes where there are no other guides. It IS a game changer!

Awesome. Will check it out in a second. Just bought this boat so not sure if I want to spend another 2k but it might be worth it. The boat has 2 networked Helix 7’s and I added my Lowrance hook 7 up front. I guess one more monitor would make me look like a tech geek in a boat but I could find the fish. LOL.

Have had livescope for several months and absolutely love it! Didn't think it was possible but makes crappie fishing even more fun. Limited pretty easy last several trips on palestine. I know this time of year is easy pickings but it made a big difference on some tougher days back in march and April. If lake level was a little lower it wouldn't even be fair for dock shooting right now. I got the 93sv on clearance and pleased with it although the 12" screen would have made for easier viewing

from what I have seen and how it works it is pretty neat . we used one and it does give up exactly whats going on down there .I myself don't want to spend that kind of money on one as I don't feel like I need it and kind of like figuring out what is up down there with some more traditional methods.
I do know the folks using them have upped their game tremendously and are learning much of the things I have preached for years are actually true .
I think you can run a 9 inch version for a total of 1400 or so from what I was told , but in my case once again I have a lot of things I can put that 1400 towards that are not a depreciating asset .
one thing for certain I have noticed the guides using them are really steadily ketchn some big crappie in numbers when before some days they didn't and that speaks for itself
on a side note: if I guided I probably would make the investment
sum kawl me tha outlaw ketchn whales

Thank you all. I have been doing more research and it seems like several companies have come out with their version, I.E Lowrance LiveSight. Has anyone ever seen the difference in the others first hand? From what I have seen on youtube the Garmin LiveScope is the best but hard to say when you do not have them in your hand.
