    Default Conroe Crappie

Had a window to go to Conroe for crappie fishing. I used my new Garmin Livescope to find them. It is so nice to see if crappie are present before wetting a hook and not catching any. It's like fishing a video game. You can see the fish and watch them bite your jig. Scanned the 1097 bridge and caught 6 white bass and 2 crappie. Caught the rest around below surface submerged trees only found with livescope.
    Water temp 74.
    Winds light to none.
    Sunny day.
Hit BG blue ice the most at 8'-15' down.

Awesome. I just made a post about Livescope after reading your post. Would love to know more about it. Looks like it was a good time fishing.

Man, I feel the exact same about the surprise.
I think people will learn a little more about fish from watching livescope. I also think there might be an exciting anticipation with livescope watching a fish about to grab on, but I think overall, I'd prefer to not know when I'm about to get thumped. That's what I like and what gets my blood rattling. It also has the same vibe to me as when I see people taking a video of a concert/performance that's happening in front of them, but they're just watching it through the phone instead of actually taking it in.

Not trying to offend anyone or even start a debate lol, different strokes and all. If you like it, and it's putting more fish in the boats or wild in your oats, nothing wrong with that.

You still have to know where to look for the crappie and Livescope is perfect for that. I don't watch mine when I find them. I am feeling the thump over, and over, and over again with a big smile on my face! All in all it is the trend of future fishing. Lowrance has been talking about a similar unit but have not released any videos or information about theirs.
I do not EVER tell another fisherman how to fish or what to use. I simply state my opinion in my post and if anyone is interested in moving forward in technology then I have helped them. All others keep fishing!
    Tight lines.

The lowerance version ain’t near as good from what I have seen as the garmin unit .
But none the less the guides are laying waste to big crappie with livescope and learning new tricks with it .
