I think I left mine on for the first 2 trips then it had to go. Like you said it gets slippery.

I always laugh at plastic covered corks , but I don't give SK trouble about it ….seems he can ketch fine with it still on there

Hey, the plastic helps protect my cork when I stick my jig hooks into it at the end of the day. Don't listen to them SK, mine comes off when it peels off from all the days the jig hooks have been stuck into it and wear it off.
