I hear of and see fish in short water pretty much at all the lakes in the dfw area right now .some spots seem to be real good and others seem to be spotty but to be sure the spawn is on and you need to go look where you found them in the past .
I have had male fish at 3 spots hammer jigs going thru bedding areas and found females staged behind the beds in deeper water .
Go get you some I say

Shhhh! Let them stay out there in deep water catching the dinks. I’m stuck at work and can’t fish till next week.
Seriously, now that water temps are above 60 to stay here in the south. Fish can be had in water from 1 foot to 30+ in the mood to thump a jig !

Glad to hear that as I have my oldest son and grandson coming to fish, but the weather here is turning bad fast with lake wind warnings!
