Welcome from northeast georgia
Hey y'all,
My name is Mike Durant and I moved to Houston a couple of years ago. I grew up in Pensacola, FL. Thus the FLMikeyD name. I've been fishing since I was knee high to a grasshopper. Freshwater, inshore and offshore saltwater. Finally got the boat in the water for a few hours yesterday - first time this year. I kept 6 crappie between 11.5 and 12.5" fishing on Lake Conroe and threw back 4 or 5. All caught around bridge pilings on blue body jig.
I'm trying to learn this lake and am finding it difficult as there is no vegetation and little natural structure. Anyone willing to share some tips on fishing this lake or other lakes in this area to try?
Headed to Lake Talquin the week of the 17th for annual Mancation with my dad and buddies I worked with in Pensacola. I know how to fish this Lake as we've been doing this trip for the last 15+ years.
