I fish out of a kayak under bridges and trees or grass on the windy SUNNY banks.
I start with minnows and change to jigs after I find them . I have a 4 poles spider rig on my kayak on calm days.
Just enjoy nature my crappie family.

    661. It was a much harder walk than usual on the north side when I went a few months ago due to mud and swampiness. South side was boot-sucking mud. You get stuck at a branch on the south side when there’s good water and can’t go up as far. I came across a bobcat there last fall. It ran so no big deal. Coyote tracks a plenty. Snakey. I remember some TFF people talking about wild hog packs, but I never seen any. Keep alert if you go, as usual.

I have wondered if there were spawners in that cove, but I never tried it
