1/32 Oz Roadrunner or Pony head. With that I can catch all the fish I need for the year. Really just spring can do that, but I also like fall with same bait.

In summer I go from that to a Ball head 1/8 or 1/4 oz for here, but usually have a double drop and the top one can be a small jig or a hook for a minnow. Then the bottom one is bait and weight.

I'll go with 1/16 as far as weight. I'm not sure on shape, as I don't think I've ever compared a ball head to a pony head as far as action on the fall. If the pony head is as "quiet" as the ball head there, I'd say give me either one and I'll be good. I'm pretty sure I could find a way to attach a blade to either, whether directly or with the wire arm spinners, too. A bread bag clip or something similar for some wobble if you super glue your plastic.

Well Pony and Roadrunner heads already expect a blade and really it's not the shape of the head for me, it's the blade on it!

As far as the pony or roadrunner heads the only legal place to get them is either make your own or buy from roadrunner correct?
