One thing I learned early on for sure is if you’re waiting on a water temperature, especially a magic number, you’ll probably end up missing a lot of spawning fish. Applies to other fish as well. As said above, it’s already time to be fishing for them. Listen to the man upstairs lol. He knows what he’s talking about.
If you know spots you can usually find em shallow this time of year, try them out. Don’t stay in one too long if there’s no action. If they’re not there yet, try the closest deeper water spot or spots to those spots. This especially applies after you’ve found some shallow and cold weather moves back in. I’m no expert and still have many questions myself, but I have found this to work for me this time of year on foot.
