    Caught a few nice fish in a shallow cove just before dark this evening . Just thought I would let y'all know

    Believe that warm few days may have started the first stage of the spawn!

    I remember in 2013 the same day as the Super Bowl my neighbor and I went out to see what was going on. We had about 4 or 5 days when it hit the 70's and it was on. We got our 50 that day and they were big males! See pic below from then! I believe that was Feb. 3rd!

    early Feb. brings the black crappie up fast sometimes …..
    i didn't find them this last week when i looked but i bet next week its likely going to start
