KABOOM.....
Texas born jigs , Texas born Ketchn and Texas born crappie . I want to thank crazy angler and mcm tackle for the terminal end stuff and mom and dad for making me and the ole trinity river for making the crappie .
hit the crappie house for a bit the other morning , wasn't exactly on fire but it was pretty steady . I managed 20 plus in a few hours and had a pretty good time with those garlic enhanced plastics with a touch a slab sauce every once in while .
same routine in about 17 foot to 18 foot of water and about 2 to 4 inches off the bottom pretty much dead still as you can hold it . about half were keepers and the other half were close and I donated my keepers to 3 different folks , kinda spreading the wealth if you will .
AND the guys using minnows were doing well also …..just saying
KABOOM is the word
p.s. btw a guy I know showed up with some handties and couldn't beg a bite as I was right beside him ketchn , I told him to scent his bait with some slab sauce and gave him my bottle for a bit …..AND guess who started to ketch fish ,,,,,,,
sum kawl me tha outlaw ketchn whales
Absolutely keeping my attitude in the game, Ketchn, and thanks. Weather sucks, one more trip to shoot some Axis, and then I reckon my brother and I will start searching again.

Ain't it fun figuring these fish out and then wacking'um.....
Good stuff! I always thought the fish scents and stuff were just some kinda marketing hoodoo voodoo. But I did get talked into buying some crappie nibbles. And some of the scented Gulp 3” minnows before that. So I guess I can’t say much about it lol. I can say this about those Gulps though...they did land me a few real nice, funny looking largemouth crappie on them.
What’s your crappie forecast for this Saturday looking like?
