Default New to Crappie fishing and Crappie.com

Hello all I recently moved to Texas about 2 years ago. I am originally from Tennessee and have been fishing most of my life. Usually it was from the bank or wading a small rive or creek back home. I now live on Lake Tawakoni and recently but a boat. Any of you local folks have any info you would share with me about the lake. I know it is the catfish capital of Texas, but I am interested in the crappie. I know about 2-mile ridge and so does everyone else, LOL. I looks like a boat parking lot under that bridge at times. I am not looking for your honey holes just want to learn my way around the lake.

If anyone is interested in showing me around the lake I do have a boat ( 18 ft Triton) with humminbird electronics. I also make the best bologna and cheese sandwich this side of the Mississippi River.

Again not looking for any ones fishing holes, just want to learn the lake and maybe gain a new fishing buddy.

Thanks and Merry Christmas to all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome. Not much help as it's been a long time since I fished Tawakoni, but we used to rent a cabin at Windy Point? Can't be for sure that was the name but anyway the area was loaded with trees and I always did pretty good. There was a fishing pier there too that held a fair amount too. Anyway welcome to Texas. I'm jealous of the area you live in with all the awesome lakes. You want a real challenge come to west central Texas and fish the rocks, lol
