I have had folks tell me a jig tipped with a minnow will out fish a plain jig . I sat in a friend's boat using everything the same except he was tipping with Rosey Red Minnows . He got skunked in his own boat .I was using jig his pole and only difference was him tipping the jig .

    Default FYI .....

Personally I hate using minners .
But I tried my best to force feed my best jigs last week. But they only wanted minners
The bite was so light you had to give them several seconds to taste it before setting the hook.

You arent lying, thats my main lake and its always minnows with him on lakepalestine.com. Ive been having good luck with the monkey milk and the black and chartreuse on palestine. In winter time in the afternoons minnows do work well there though, I will admit that.
